Assassin

Set in a former time, this story joins El, a woman trained from birth to be an
assassin in service to her King and country. El variously encounters success and
challenges but is thrust finally into a world where she finds that she herself has
become an assignment. Her life’s mission and for those few who muster to her aid,
becomes startlingly clear as she struggles to survive and push back against the
forces pitted against her and those she loves. Her journey is described by one of
her meagre army as a grand adventure, the outcome of which depends, as El
believes, not on fate but solely on the skills and resolve of her and those standing
with her.
